For a very simple yet effective MIDI keyboard controller that would interest the jazz player as much as the electronic artist we recommend the M-Audio Keystation 88. Perfect for sequencing music and playing virtual instruments in any major DAW, the Keystation 88 features 88 full-sized velocity-sensitive semi-weighted keys and multiple controls that allow for a highly expressive playing and a streamlined workflow.

Use the pitch bend and modulation wheels, and octave range buttons and play into your DAW without needing to touch a mouse or computer keyboard. The rear features a 1/4” input that lets you connect Sustain and Expression pedal inputs for authentic piano sustain.

Connect the M-Audio Keystation Pro 88 via USB-MIDI to any Mac, PC, or iOS device (using the Apple iPad Camera Connection Kit for iOS) and experience it’s versatility in on the road or around the studio. There is an additional DC power adapter input to receive power from the wall instead of taxing your computers resources.

The M-Audio Keystation 88 is lightweight, portable and great for on the road or for the project studio. It may be light in features, but its function is not to serve as an all-in-one studio multitool but more of a practical MIDI keyboard piano fit for composers and pianists.
